Maryland PIRG is a member of the Alliance for Tax Fairness, a broad network of organizations committed to investing in Maryland’s future and making the tax code fairer.
The Alliance supports the following principles to invest in Maryland’s future:
1) In order to maintain the standard of living in Maryland and our public infrastructure. we need to increase our investment in our schools, our environment. Simply closing the $1.5 billion budget deficit does not solve Maryland’s problems.
2) Revenue increases should be fair.
