Nuclear industry officials admit that without subsidies from taxpayers they wouldn’t be trying to build nuclear reactors.

Amazingly, the Board of County Commissioners in Calvert County voted to give Constellation Energy $300 million in tax breaks to build a new nuclear reactor in Maryland. That’s a whopping $750,000 for every new job created at the plant!

Letter	County Commissioner Parran, I am writing to urge you to repeal the $300 million in tax-breaks you awarded to Constellation Energy. Nuclear power is expensive, threatens public health and safety, and damages the environment. Taxpayers like me shouldn't have to help pay for more nuclear energy.
